Ben Stiller has been quite busy in recent months. He has a few new movies coming to the big screen in 2008 and 2009. Ben Stiller’s next release will be Tropic Thunder. Tropic Thunder is a comedy that involves a group of actors who are filming a war movie who then end up in the middle of a real war. The movie involves a strong cast of actors along with Ben Stiller who include Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. along with cameo appearances by Tom Cruise, Kathy Hilton, Tobey Maguire, Matthew McConaughey, Katie Holmes, Justin Theroux and Mickey Rooney.
Tropic Thunder, being called a “crazy comedy”, has already received good reviews from critics. It is an R-rated film being released August 15th.
Other movies that Ben Stiller has been working on are Madagascar: Escape to Africa and The Smurfs. He will be providing a voice in both of these movies. Other future 2008 movies include The Marc Pease Experience, where Stiller will star alongside Jason Schwartzman, and Hardy Men, a comedy adaptation of The Hardy Boys where he will star along with Tom Cruise. In 2009, Ben Stiller will come out with the sequel Night at the Museum 2: Escape from the Smithsonian. He is currently filming this movie.
