According to Variety, Paramount Pictures will be producing a sequal for School of Rock. Jack Black will be returning as his character, Dewey Finn, and Richard Linklater will be returning as director.
School of Rock 2: America Rocks will involve summer students who go on cross-country trip as they explore the roots of different musical genres. As of now, there is no expected release date for this movie.
