Movie News for Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

Here’s the latest trailer for Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. It comes to theaters on November 7.

Among the multiple movies geared towards children this year, a few select titles stand out from the crowd. Coming to theaters later this year, High School Musical 3: Senior Year (Oct. 24), Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (Nov. 7), and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Nov. 21).

Disney’s High School Musical 3 will be the first of the three films to have a debut in movie theaters. The previous two were Disney Channel Original Movies. The High School Musical movies are geared mostly towards teenagers, but generally are enjoyed by people of all ages. Watch the trailer for High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

Another anticipated movie for kids is the animated Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, which is the sequal to the original Madagascar (2005) film. Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Schwimmer, Cedric the Entertainer and Sacha Baron Cohen have all confirmed their roles as returning cast members. Madagascar, a DreamWorks Animation production, is becoming a franchise similar to that of Shrek. If this is the case, expect more Madagascar movies to follow.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be the sixth Harry Potter film in this popular series. The soon-to-be nineteen year old, Daniel Radcliffe, is returning as Harry Potter. If this movie follows suit (as it should) it will be just as popular as the last movies. After this Harry Potter film, there will be two more installments released in 2010 and 2011.

With the upcoming releases of these three films, this should be a fun year for people of all ages when it comes to new movies. These movies make it easy to take the whole family to the movies.
