The fourth Austin Powers movie is in development by Mike Myers. In May 2007, Mike Myers said “We’re developing a fourth [movie], entirely from Dr. Evil’s point of view. That is part of what I’ve been doing in the last little while.”
According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, a few more details about Austin Powers 4 have been released:
I’m told that Mike Myers has started writing Austin Powers 4 which will be a homage to his father. “It’s very personal with a father and son theme loosely based on his own life,” an insider tells me. As Myers has previously said, this fourth installment of the super spy spoof movie series will focus on Austin’s arch-villain Dr. Evil, who was based on Blofeld of the Bond films. But what hasn’t been known is that the AP4 plot is really about Dr. Evil and his son (introduced already as Scott Evil, played by Seth Green).”
I find this news pretty shocking because I never felt that another Austin Powers movie would ever exist. All three of the movies were enjoyable and funny. Let’s hope this one leads the pack.
Warner Bros Pictures has pushed back the release date for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from November 21st of this year until July of 2009. This is the sixth installment in the Harry Potter franchise.
Fans are simply going to have to wait a while longer until seeing this film. Warner Bros is taking advantage of the summer movie season potential by changing the date. They also cited the writer’s strike as another reason for the move.
This date change is not expected to push back the final two Harry Potter films.

This is a shot of Bernie Mac, Isaac Hayes and Samuel Jackson on the set of Soul Men. Unfortunately, Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes have both passed away since. Who would have ever thought?
Soul Men’s original release date is November 14, but this may be pushed back due the recent loss. We will know more as we approach the film’s intended release.
Mirrors, hitting theaters this Friday, is an R-rated horror movie starring Kiefer Sutherland, Paula Patton, Cameron Boyce, Erica Gluck, Amy Smart, Mary Beth Peil, John Shrapnel, Jason Flemyng, Tim Ahern, Julian Glover, Josh Cole, Ezra Buzzington, Ioana Abur, Aida Doina and Darren Kent.

Kevin Smith, director of Zack and Miri Make a Porno, has won an appeal to lower the rating of his new comedy from NC-17 to an R rating. “We didn’t set out to make an NC-17 film. That’s just commercial suicide,” Smith told The Associated Press.
An R rating allows those under 17 to see the movie in the company of an adult. With an NC-17 movie, anyone younger than 17 is prohibited from viewing the film at the theater.
Zack and Miri Make a Porno stars Seth Rogen, Elizabeth Banks, Craig Robinson, Traci Lords, Katie Morgan, Ricky Mabe, Jeff Anderson and Jason Mewes. This movie will arrive to theaters on October 31st.
